CLCA Friday Chapel
Chapel is a special time for CLCA each week. It’s a time when our entire student body and staff gathers together to focusĀ on God’s Word. We encourage our scholars to use their God-given musical gifts and talents to provide pre-service music and also help beautify our worship.
Our opening school year chapel was extra special for a number of reasons. We welcomed Pastor Daniel Wessel (a newly installed pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church) to CLCA. He delivered the new school year message with the theme – More Like Jesus, Less Like Me.
Perhaps the most unique moment of the service was when our CLCA family got to witness Pastor Steinbrenner, from Bethany, leading the Rite of Installation; a special part of a service when a new called-worker (teacher in this case) expresses the commitment to serve in the teaching ministry at a Lutheran School like ours. It was with great joy and humility, that Mrs. Vicki Schewe stated her desire to serve as a new CLCA 4K teacher on our Bethany Campus. Pastor Krause, from Abiding Shepherd helped close our service with a prayer asking the Lord to bless the ministry and to watch over and care for all our scholars, our staff, and our families in the year ahead.Ā
The moments we get to spend with our scholars teaching and sharing the Word of God are truly precious. As we continue with our chapel series each Friday at 8:15,Ā we invite all family and friends to join us, for we know that where two or three are gathered in HIs name, He is there with us (Matthew 18:20).
