Fine Arts
The Crown of Life Christian Academy Fine Arts program is designed to allow all students to explore and develop their God-given talents in music and visual arts.
Music Curriculum
Students in grades K–8 develop musical knowledge and skills through the artistic processes of Create, Perform, Respond, and Connect. On Fridays, they have the opportunity to share their faith at chapel by singing or playing an instrument.
- Instruction blends technology and hands-on learning
- Age-appropriate lessons on music, theory, voice and music appreciation
- Study of notation, rhythm and music terminology
- Encouragement to participate in small group ensembles for school events, worship, and community outreach
Private Music Instruction
CLCA offers private music instruction to scholars beginning in 2nd grade. Piano, violin and band instruction takes place during the school day.
Visual Art Curriculum
The K-8 art curriculum is designed to teach basic art concepts in a way that allows children to be creative and enjoy the process, not just the finished product.
- Explore various mediums and techniques
- Share their faith through creative outlets
- Research artists, styles and art history
- Showcase their work in local art shows and across our campuses
Athletics
CLCA’s athletic program goal is to provide a wealth of fitness opportunities and experiences.
Physical Education
CLCA’s physical education program teaches the rules, skills, and strategies of team and individual sports while promoting fitness, leadership, sportsmanship and a positive self-image in a safe environment.
The program encourages lifelong physical activity and is adapted as needed for students with medical or physical limitations.
Sports Opportunities
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports that build teamwork and develop individual skills while competing within our conference.
Clubs
CLCA nurtures personal growth and leadership skills through diverse co-curricular clubs and programs. These include: Student Leadership Council, Forensics, Yearbook Club and Pinewood Derby Car Workshop.
